Filmmaker Punit Malhotra, who made his directorial debut with a hit film I Hate Luv Storys is currently busy in promoting Student of the Year 2. He wore the director's hat after six long years post making Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. When asked about coming back after a long break, he said, "I was doing lots of stuff but to be honest, the last one (Gori Tere Pyaar Mein) didn't do well at all. So it took that much time for me to get out of that."
The filmmaker, also revealed that he was affected by the debacle of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and said, "I think for 8 months I was at home just depressed and I didn't get out of my house and that was literally 8 months. But later I realized and learnt there is no other choice and you have to move ahead." He also shared a thought that he learnt from his mistake and tried to better his craft from his end. Well by looking at the promo of SOTY 2, we are sure that Punit will definitely conquer the box office this time.
Talking about Student of the Year 2, the story of the film revolves around the lives of two college girls, played by debutants Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, who falls in love with Tiger Shroff.
