As Indian star Badminton player won the World Championship in Switzerland by winning Gold Medal, the nation erupted out of joy and Sindhu was the toast of the nation. And interestingly, there is a biopic in the making and couldn't have been made at a better time. Actor Sonu Sood will be bankrolling the biopic on PV Sindhu besides playing her coach Pullela Gopichand in the film. And speaking about Sindhu's recent achievement, Sood says that her win at Championship will be used as a climax for the film. "Her historic win provides the perfect climax for our film. How a simple Telugu girl from Hyderabad went on to become India's first BWF World Champion is the stuff of legends. It's a story that stands for the new India," Sonu Sood was quoted as saying by Times of India.
The Yuva actor says that he has been working on the film for the last two years and this climax would be a perfect way to cap the film. "I've been working on the film for the past two years and now, I have a perfect way to cap it off! I will make sure we revise the script to incorporate this historic moment," he added further.
Interestingly, Sonu Sood says that he has been telling PV Sindhu that something big is in the pipeline and then the Championship came her way. "Trust me, I said this to Sindhu when I had met her last time. I knew she is destined for bigger things. This gold medal will change the perspective of all those people who felt that she chokes in the final. She has proved all her critics wrong and has made the whole nation proud," Sonu Sood said.
Sonu Sood, besides producing the biopic, will be seen playing Pullela Gopichand who is a former Indian Badminton player and current Indian Badminton Chief coach.
