Two actors got the privilege to young students at the 14th Harvard-India conference this year - we are talking about R Madhavan and Pawan Kalyan. The Vikram Veda actor mentioned speaking at this conference, one of the largest student-run conferences with a focus on India in the US, was unforgettable. Other popular Indian personalities who spoke at the conference included well-known designer Manish Malhotra and Telugu actor-politician Pawan Kalyan. Sharing an image that also features Manish Malhotra, Madhavan wrote on his Twitter page: "With the students of Harvard Business School. Unforgettable times." According to a Twitter post by India Conference, Madhavan's speech was "extremely mature and really funny." Madhavan was dressed in an Anita Dongre suit and was styled by Rishika Devnani.
As for Power star Pawan Kalyan, he made some shocking revelations - like his depression during his younger days, how he did not pursue his education and how he wanted to be a Yogi. "I come from a lower middle class family. I studied in a street school and I had a lot of time to contemplate life's problems. It became my lifetime obsession to compare what is being said and what is being done. And so successfully I failed my examinations and I didn't continue my education,"
Contrary to the rumours of animosity between brothers, turns out it was Chiranjeevi who helped his brother out - "My brother(Chiranjeevi) would come home after a long day and I would bother him with my philosophies - you know like life is a lollipop and such (laughs). Once he got irritated with me and told me to make something concrete out of life. At that point, I realised I have missed my education I missed everything positive in life. My only option was to be an actor,"
The two-day event, hosted at the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School by the graduate students of Harvard University, brought together business leaders, entertainment professionals, and many other leaders to engage in a conversation about India's path to global leadership.
