The recent actor to join the nepotism debate is Ragini Khanna. The actress, who is gearing up for the release of her next film, Gurgaon, was popularly known as Suhana (a character she played on television). She entered the television industry and her role as Suhana in Sasural Genda Phool became an instant success. Though she was expected to make the most of it and do similar roles, she decided to test her boundaries and experiment with different roles. BollywoodLife got in touch with the actress exclusively where she spoke about nepotism in the industry. She says, "At the end of it, audience is extremely intelligent. We are just doing our job. The audience has so many options these days. Entertainment is just a click away. You have Whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, you have so many forms of engaging yourself in a very interactive and fun way that only talent survives. I don't think anyone should suffer the entitlement of being an artist just because you come from the legacy of it. So, I don't agree to it but if somebody, who is a star child, is very talented, very hardworking, which we have also seen in the past, then it's okay. Yes, it is easier, I have seen it around, it exists also but if the audience rejects you, no one can do anything for anybody." She adds, "In my case, I have always been on my own. I have always made choices on my own. I have failed, I have succeeded but everything is on my own. I'm very happy about that and I am very proud of it. In fact, I never even went for a meeting and said this is the family I belong to. It makes me look foolish."
