The film is based on the life of former underworld don Muthappa Rai!

If you think Vivek Oberoi has lost his edge over acting, think again as the actor is all set to take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions with his next flick directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is making a film titled Rai, which is based on the life of former underworld don Muthappa Rai. “First look of the film I am making based on the life of underworld don Muthappa Rai… The greatest gangster ever,” Varma tweeted. The film features Vivek Oberoi in its lead and if the first look is anything to go by then we are bound to expect them really cool action sequences and a plot that will leave us asking for more.

Vivek as Muthappa Rai kills it in the first look especially with the moustache. The actor has shown his bad to the bone side that is one of the highlights of the short clip other than the presentation of the story. Background score on the other hand is something that will haunt you for long. No kidding there! It will be interesting to see how Mr Varma will dish out the final product to us.

Ramu previously talked about the budget of Rai calling it his most expensive film ever. Through his social media handle, he shared, “Rai film is going to cost more than Rs.55 crore, which will be my most expensive film ever by leaps and bounds.” The director is currently awaiting the release of his forthcoming film Veerappan.
