Not long ago, a financier had claimed that Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja took Rs 65 lakhs of financial aid in the name of Rajinikanth
Being a popular figure can get really tough sometimes. And aside from his flopping films, Rajinikanth seems to be entangled in legal battles.
While there was a FIR filed on his wife Latha for forging documents, recently a financier S Mukulchand Bothra claimed that Rajinikanth's daughter's father-in-law Mr Kasthuri Raja took a loan of Rs 65 lakhs and didn't pay it back.
Mr Bothra said that Dhanush's father aka Kasthuri Raja had stated that Rajinikanth will repay his debt in case in fails to pay it back himself. In fact the financier went on to file a civil suit on Rajinikanth. Breaking his silence on the issue, Rajini raised an affidavit claiming that his image was being tarnished by these baseless claims by Mr Bothra.
" The financier should have informed me if my daughter’s father-in-law had obtained money. He cannot be heard to say that he advanced the loan because my name was used and [he cannot] hold me liable for such loan. I am neither a borrower nor a guarantor. I am not liable to pay any money,” said Rajinikanth in a statement.
After hearing the statement from Rajinikanth, the Madras High Court has adjourned the matter for four weeks. Now whether Dhanush's father actually took money or not is yet to be proven, these legal matters are giving a hard time to our Thalaiva.
