The actor along with other celebs have expressed their deep concerns and are taking efforts to spread news about the rainy disaster in Chennai
From Dilwale – Bajirao clash to Aamir Khan‘s intolerance remark, the nation seems to be debating about everything, completely oblivious of the ordeal which Chennai has been facing in last few days.
Superstar Rajinikanth has extended his support to the rain-affected victims of Tamil Nadu by donating Rs.10 lakh to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
An official statement said the donation was paid through Sri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust, owned by Rajinikanth.
Actor Dhanush, son-in-law of the superstar, has donated Rs.5 lakh. Suriya and his brother Karthi have chipped in Rs.25 lakh while actor Vishal Krishna Reddy also has donated Rs.10 lakh. Heavy rains have pounded many parts of Tamil Nadu over the last few weeks, severely disrupting the livelihood of its people.
Apart from schools and colleges, even movie theatres and multiplexes are closed. Taking into account the grim situation in Chennai due to rains and floods, the makers of Sivakarthikeyan’sRajini Murugan have postponed the film’s release. Sivakarthikeyan-Keerthi Suresh starrer was supposed to release on December 4. But reports have confirmed that the release will be postponed
