After impressing audiences and critics alike, Tamil socio-political drama "Joker" has won over superstar Rajinikanth, who has termed it a "brilliant film".
The Raju Murugan directorial released on August 12. "I applaud the team of 'Joker'. Brilliant film," Rajinikanth wrote on his Twitter account on Thursday.
Rajinikanth also called the producer of "Joker" and applauded the entire team."Got a call from the one and only superstar Rajini sir! Appreciated the whole team for Joker," producer S.R Prabhu posted on the micro-blogging website.
"Joker" is a political satire about the ills of globalization. The film stars Guru Somasundaram, Ramya Pandian and Gayatri Krishnaa in the lead. Raj Murugan is doing well in his career so far. The filmmaker's earlier venture Cuckoo also earned appreciation for its unconventional concept. It was about a visually challenged couple in love and what challenges they face in life.
After the success of Kabali, the superstar will now resume shoot for 2.0 directed by Shankar. It has Akshay Kumar as main antagonist along with sexy Amy Jackson as female lead. In fact, the producers had a courtesy meeting with the superstar at his home where the latter said he is fit to shoot. He was reportedly in the US for two months nursing his health and they say first look of 2.0 will release in November. Stay tuned for more updates on Bollywood Life
