After the failure of Kuselan, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth joined hands with director Shankar to give the biggest hit of his career with Enthiran aka Robot.
And now that Rajini is struggling after Kochadaiiyaan and Lingaa debacle, it seems like director Shankar is all set to rescue the superstar with the much awaited sequel to Enthiran. Touted to be a notch above Enthiran, the film stars Rajini and Amy Jackson in lead roles. While earlier it was rumoured that Deepika Padukone had been approached for the role, it seems like makers have zeroed in on Singh Is Bliing actress.
Also, after names of Aamir Khan, Kamal Haasan and Vikram did rounds for the role of the villain, rumour has it that Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger may play Rajini's nemesis in the sequel. While makers are said to be in talks with Arnold, a little birdie tells us that Enthiran 2 aka Robot 2 is being made at a whopping budget of Rs 150 crore. While SS Rajamouli's Baahubali may have been made at Rs 250 crore, the budget of Rs 150 crore is still a huge number.
The Shankar-Rajinikanth project is expected to go on floors from January 2016, post superstar completes shooting for Kabali. Will it be Rajini vs Arnold in Enthiran 2? We certainly hope so!
