A documentary on Tamil superstar's massive fan following will be featured in the prestigious International Film Festival
After rocking the silver screen for over 40 years with his larger than life films, superstar Rajinikanth is all set to takeover Venice International Film Festival with a documentary.
Mesmerised by the amazing fan following of Rajinikanth, which ranges from the interiors of Tamil Nadu to countries like USA, Malaysia and Japan, Joyojeet Pal, a professor at the University of Michigan, and Rinku Kalsy, a filmmaker in Amsterdam decided to make a documentary on Rajini's fandom. The documentary film titled For The Love Of Man will be featured in Venice Film Festival this year.
Speaking to a leading daily, Joyojeet Pal said," He is probably the biggest of all, in terms of mass appeal, but also because of how he spans generations. There are fans who are in their 60s who watched Rajini from hisAvargal days and there are fans who are barely past their teens. We have not spoken to Rajnikanth. We spoke to a number of filmmakers, film school professors, and people who have followed Tamil cinema over several decades, some of whom are featured in the film."
While Rajini will be busy shooting for Pa Ranjith's film along with Radhika Apte, a documentary on his superstardom will rock Venice International Film Festival.
