The actor doesn't seem to be tired of playing same kind of roles over and over again.
Stand up comedian turned actor Sivakarthikeyan is by far one of the most successful newcomers in Kollywood. After giving back to back hits like Maan Karate, Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam and Kaaki Sattai, Sivakarthikeyan is coming your way to enthrall you this Ganesh Chaturthi with Rajinimurugan.
But one of the major problem with Sivakarthikeyan films is that they all look the same to me. In every film he plays that good for nothing guy who later on turns out to be an unlikely hero. Will he break this trend in Rajinimurugan? Lets take a look at the trailer and decide:
Rajinimurugan directed Ponram stars Sivakarthikeyan, Soori, Keerthi Suresh, Samuthirakani and Rajkiran in lead roles. The trailer starts with Siva's dad played by Rajkiran, an ardent Rajinikanth fan naming his child as Rajinimurugan. Siva aka Rajinimurugan turns out to be a useless, jobless youth who spends his time joking and laughing around with his friend Soori. Keerthi Suresh plays his love interest, and the love blossoms between the two after initial stages of fighting. Samuthirakani plays the villain, whom Siva will take on in the climax of course. In short, there is nothing new or interesting other than the Rajinikanth factor added to the plot. Though this genre of film has been done to death, Sivakarthikeyan is likely to succeed again with Rajinimurugan as the general audience wants to see him in that same old avatar over and over again.
