Makers of Rajkummar Rao and Jahnvi Kapoor's horror comedy announced the commencing of the shoot today. Interestingly, the clapboard and hashtag of the film carry a different name. The film which was earlier titled Rooh-Afza is now called RoohiAfza. A post from Maddock Films read, "Karne aa rahe hai attention pe kabza, aaj se shuru hoti hai #RoohiAfza! ? ?"
Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor shared a photograph of the film's clapboard and wrote the same caption.
Earlier post announcing the film with the name Rooh-Afza:
The film's title comes from Janhvi’s double role as she Roohi and Afza. Detailing Janhvi’s character in the movie, a source informed Mirror, "She plays Roohi and Afza who are the polar opposites of each other. While one is chirpy, the other is subdued, both equally sweet." The film is set in the small town of Moradabad, with Janhvi’s double act supported by Rajkummar Rao and Varun who find themselves in scary situations. The film will be directed by Hardik Mehta who has been the script-supervisor for Lootera and Queen, as well as co-written Trapped. This will be the first time Rajkummar will be seen sharing screen space with Janhvi. The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, is slated to release on March 20, 2020. This will be Rajkummar's third collaboration with Dinesh Vijan after Stree and Made in China.
