And the reason is as bizarre as the woman herself
Rakhi Sawant is no new face to news headlines. But a new face has put her on the news again. This time it is our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The actress has been trending since morning on the internet. Reason being, she decided to wear a black dress to a pre- Independence Day party, with Modi printed all over it. Even at questionable places. The pictures of the same caught the eye of twitteratis and quickly began butt of all jokes. When we contacted Rakhi to comment on the same, she was unaware of the whole trolling fiasco but revealed the reason why she chose the dress in question.
Controversy child Rakhi attended a function by Federation of Indian Americans to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Indian Independence at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois.
Talking to Bollywoodlife, Rakhi expressed her love for our PM. “I love Modi ji” Rakhi said quite obviously, “Aur har citizen ko haq hai apne Prime Minister pe aur Prime Minister ka haq hai apne citizen pe. So I love my Modi ji and islie maine Modi dress banwaya hai taki main America me aake Independence day mana rahi hoon, India ko represent kar rahi hun, Modi ji ko represent kar rahi hun.” So guys she did this not just wear it out of her love for Modi but to represent India as well.
"Obama ke Sheher me Modi ji ko represent kar rahi hoon," She further added. (Every citizen is entitled to their PM and vice versa. So I love my Modi ji and that’s why I got his Modi dress made so that I can represent India, represent Modi ji in America and celebrate Independence Day. I am representing Modi in Obama’s city.) Well certainly this is not the best way to represent Modi ji in foreign ground but again the actress is quite known for her quirky and eccentric takes on matters.
There is Priyanka Chopra and then there is Rakhi Sawant representing us internationally. We hope Rakhi keeps on entertaining us like this.
