The shooting for the film has finally kicked off
It is a very special moment for the Chiranjeevi family. First, Chiranjeevi used to produce and help launch Ram Charan. Now, the situation has reversed and the son has turned producer for the father.
Ram Charan will be producing Chiranjeevi's 150th film. The movie is touted to be a remake of the Vijay starrer Kaththi. The VV Vinayak directorial was launched recently in a special ceremony at Ram Charan's office in Jubilee Hills. What's more, the Kaththi remake will be produced by Konidela Productions, the home banner of the actor. It is indeed a complete family affair which makes the movie that much more risk free.
The project officially kicked off in a special ceremony at the Konidela Production office. A source present on the scene was quoted saying," Today was the first mahurat shot of Chiranjeevi’s 150th film ,produced by his son Ram Charan. Ram has always wanted to do something special to celebrate his father’s achievement and what better way than to make a film to celebrate his superstardom and success. The shoot began with its first clap by Paruchuri Venkateshwara garu."
But the family connection doesn't just end with acting and producing. Even the director has worked with both father and son. With Chiranjeevi, it was the 2003 film Tagore while in case of Ram Charan, it was the 2013 film Naayak. Rockstar DSP has been roped in score the music for the film and the movie can be expected to hit the screens on Pongal next year.
