The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and is directed by Surender Reddy.
Ram Charan will star in the Telugu remake of last year's critical and commercial hit of Kollywood, Thani Oruvan. He will essay the role that Jayam Ravi had played in the original.
The first two posters of the film is out, and it is definitely giving us some interesting vibes. The entire tone of the posters is dark, and yet intriguing. And of course, Ram Charan looks stylish as hell in his moustache, especially in the second poster.
Dhruva also stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. She will take on the character, originally played by Nayantara in the original flick. Arvind Swamy, whose won laurels for his negative role in Thani Oruvan as well as a lot of awards, will be taking on the same role in the Telugu remake as well.
Dhruva is directed by Surender Reddy, and is scheduled to release on October 7. It will be about a team of policemen, led by a daredevil cop who is tasked to tackle huge malpractices in the medical business, led by a brilliant but evil scientist, played by Arvind Swamy.
Ram Charan was last seen in Bruce Lee - The Fighter, which did good business at the box office, thanks to the actor's pull on the youth as well as the cameo appearance of his father, megastar Chiranjeevi.
