Rana Daggubati is now one of the most loved regional stars in India courtesy his stint as the menacing Bhallaladeva is SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. His next project Nene Raju Nene Mantri has also been well-received. However, the actor is one who loves to explore various mediums as long as the script and character excites him as a performer. He will be seen next on Shashi Sidugala's web-series SOCIAL. It also stars Naveen Kasturia and actress Priya Banerjee. The first look poster is out and Rana Daggubati kills it with his towering personality. Dressed in a crisp business suit, he stands against the backdrop of a corporate office. The biggest question is that is social media a boon or bane.

The bilingual fiction digital series is presented by Rana. It has been shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. In a media statement, the South hottie said, “This is my first digital fiction and I strongly feel that with ‘Social’ we are offering some exciting yet relevant content to our viewers. It is a story that will connect with the digital-first audience and as an actor I am glad to be experimenting with different genres and platforms. Today, social media is a big part of our lives and with this show we are portraying the need to be aware of the reality and consequences of our actions in the digital world.”

The story of SOCIAL is based in Hyderabad and talks about four individuals who come together to solve the case of a missing girl. The show is based on the theme of social media, cybercrimes and how internet can also become a saviour for many. The series will hit the web on September 8. Speaking about his role, Naveen Kasturia had said, "asturia's first bilingual series. The actor who is excited to experiment shooting in two languages at the same time says, "My character in Social is a very simple, organized and a good hearted guy, who I relate to quite a bit, except the organized part. He loves his family but isn't a very social guy, however he has to work with a group of people to find his missing sister. What got me to sign this show is that it is an extremely interesting script and Shashi is an amazing director to work with. It's exciting to work on a digital show since digital platforms are experimenting with content which attracts a huge audience."
