Rana Daggubati has shared new stills from his upcoming film, and from the look, it looks quite promising. The title of the film is said to be Nene Raju Nene Mantri, and minor details about the film have been divulged. It is a political drama, and is being directed by Teja. The untitled venture also stars Kajjal alongside Rana. One of the producer of the film is Rana's father, Suresh Babu. The team is currently shooting in Ananthpur and Rana can be seen campaigning in the photo. The stills will remind you of Rana's debut film Leader.
Recently a news daily reported that Rana Daggubati will portray the character's life spanning over five years. The daily quoted a source, “It’s a political family drama between a husband and wife played by Rana and Kajal. Rana’s character is more like a biopic, showing his journey of five years that include action, politics and family drama,”. There are rumours that the film will be based on political turmoil that was triggered by drought and the farmer's suicides which followed.
Rana Daggubati also has The Ghazi Attack in his kitty. The film has been made in two languages simultaneously Hindi and Tamil, and is set to release in February 2017. The rights of the film were brought by Dharma Productions. It’s based on Sankalp Reddy’s book Blue Fish, who happens to be the director as well.
The Ghazi Attack also stars Taapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon. It is based on the real life incidents during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war, which led to disappearance of the Pakistani submarine, PNS Ghazi under mysterious circumstances.
