The actor is now living with his paternal grandmother, Krishna Raj Kapoor
After his breakup with Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor shifted to an apartment on Pali Hill, then back again to his parents’ bungalow on the same road. Currently, the actor is staying with his paternal grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor in Chembur and will shift to his new pad (in Bandra) in October after Gauri Khan completes the interiors. When asked about the chances of a housewarming party at the new house, Ranbir said, “I have had so many houses in the past year, that housewarming ki naubat hi nahi aayi.”
However, we feel the actor has a good reason to throw a party. The flat, which is reportedly a 2,460 sq ft apartment in Pali Hill is one of the most expensive ones in the locality. The Kapoor lad has shelled out a whopping Rs 35 crores for the plush pad. The Ready Reckoner Rate of the flat was only around Rs 11 crores. The building Vastu Pali Hill is a 12-storey tower. The actor has space for two cars. It is constructed by builder Kirit Thacker.
This apartment is quite close to his parents’ home. There is buzz they will move with him as Krishna Raj is going for redevelopment. In 2014, the actor moved out of his parent’s home to live-in with Katrina Kaif at a Carter Road flat purchased for reportedly Rs 15 crores. The actor stated it was a temporary residence for the two. However, it was rumoured that the place was properly done up for the ex-couple. We can fully understand Ranbir’s statement. Moving in moving out must have been so taxing that there is no patience or energy left to celebrate.
