Ranveer Singh is all over the town promoting his upcoming cop-flick Simmba. The newlywed actor will be seen playing a police officer for the first time and he’s extremely excited about it. The actor took to Twitter to host an #AskSimmba wherein he tackled questions from fans regarding the Rohit Shetty directorial. While some fans asked him several questions about his upcoming release, others were curious about his future projects. Fans quizzed him about movies like Gully boy but one fan was interested to know when Ranveer will take up a comedy gig.
The actor has varied roles to his credits – Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and Dil Dhadakne Do to name a few. While few of his films have seen him tease a comic side, none of them were full-fledged comedy. It’s obvious that fans want to see him portray such a role and well, it seems like Ranveer is on board as well and he has the perfect movie in mind to do it.
“Any plan to star in Out and Out comedy film??” a fan had asked. To which Ranveer replied, “hoping for something crackling to come along! very much looking forward to something in that space! Andaz Apna Apna 2?! ;)”
We’d love to see him play Amar, played by Aamir Khan in the movie. Damn, we’re already imagining Ranveer go, “aila!” We’re just hoping Rajkumar Santoshi has be informed about Ranveer’s interest and the ball for the cult classic sequel gets rolling.
Meanwhile, Ranveer has also cleared the air on another sequel. Which movie are we talking about? Well, you remember Lootera, where Ranveer put up a brilliant performance while starring opposite Sonakshi Sinha? Well, the actor said that he will be reuniting with director Vikramaditya Motwane but not for Lootera 2.
“not lootera 2 :) but a Vikramaditya collab fo shizz!” he informed Twitter users.
Well, well! That’s an exciting future to look forward to. Until these plans come into action, we’re counting down to the release of Simmba which hits the cinemas on December 28.
