With his outstanding performance as Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh has proved that he is one of the most exciting talents around. We will see him next in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, where he is paired with one of the hottest debutantes, Sara Ali Khan. Buzz is that the talented actor will collaborate once again with Karan Johar for another film. The film will be a set in a specific period and is a tale of two brothers. It seems Karan is on the lookout for an actor who will look good as his younger sibling. As per a report in Koimoi.com, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt have already said yes for the project. The media portal reported that Kareena will be playing the part of his sister while Alia will be romancing him. The makers want a young actor to play the sibling with negative shades.
A source told Koimoi.Com, "Karan earlier wanted Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh to play brothers but Ranbir turned it down later. He had said yes first but then he changed his mind. Karan doesn’t know if he changed his mind because it’s a negative role or because he doesn’t want to do a two-hero film with Ranveer.” The source further added, "Most heroes don’t want to do a two-hero film so he is having a problem casting that role. Karan wants somebody younger than Ranveer so he can’t even approach other big actors.”
It seems Varun Dhawan is one of the frontrunners to play Ranveer Singh's younger brother but there is no confirmation on it. It will be a period love story and will go on floors in April 2019. Stay tuned to BolllywoodLife for more scoop and updates!
