Remember Shows like Kumkum ,Bhabhi , Sapno Se Bhare Naina that used to come on Star Plus. Now almost after 6 years Star Plus is all set to revive the afternoon slot with new shows. Staring from 1 PM to 2.20 PM, Star Plus will air new afternoon shows that includes Diya Aur Baati Hum season 2 called Tu Suraj Mein Saanjh Piya Ki, Desi Adaptation of Turkish show 'Fatamagul' and Balaji Tel-films new show 'Dhaai Kilo Ka Pyaar'.

The Turkish show Fatmagul was loved by Indian audience when it aired with Hindi dubbing on Zindagi channel. Now Star Plus is all set to remake the Turkish show in a desi avtaar. The show will have Pankhuri Awasthy playing the role played by Turkish actress Beren Saath. The show will take star plus afternoon slot and will have Rajveer Singh, Ananth Joshi, Siddharth Sen, Vandana Sajnani and Rajesh Khattar playing the main characters.
The show is been produced by actress Bahirwai Raichura who had made Satrangi Sauraal earlier on Zee TV. The story will be set in Himachal Pradesh and the shooting of the show has begun in Manali. Pankhuri will play a poor girl from hills Amala who gets gang raped by some rich men. And this incident changes her life and her to be husband Dev also dumps her. One of her rapists Abeer though feels guilty and marries her and what follows is a complicated drama.
The show, that was made in 2010, was originally called atmagül'ün Suçu Ne? in Turkish that means what is Fatmagul's fault. The story of Fatmagul was loved not just in Turkey but in all the countries it premiered in. It was based on a book and already one Turkish film was made on this subject.
For the Indian adaptation many situations have been modified keeping Indian sensibilities in mind. Like Turkey, India also has issues like rape and the aftermath will be the focus the story.
Pankhuri Awasthy has been working on her character for a long time. Pankhuri made her debut with & TV show Razia Sultan and later was seen as Draupadi in Suryaputra Karn. Pankhuri hails from Lucknow who did her college from Delhi Hindu college. Her first show was Fanaa and did a episodic in Yeh Hai Aashiqi. But it was & TV show Razia Sultan that gave her fame and recognition. Playing Fatmagul will be a challenging role for the actress.
Newcomer Rajveer Singh, who hails from Bahadurgarh, will also be seen in the show. He has earlier done work with 'Optimistic' and 'YRF' films. This will be his first show on television as a main lead. Famous Flamenco dancer Anath Joshi, who is seen in Hum Tum Aur Ghost, will be playing the other lead. Joing Ananth and Rajveer is Siddharth Sen , who was seen in Arjun earlier.
While 'Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piya Ki' will have Ria and Avinesh with Neelu Waghela while Dhai Kilo Ka Pyaar will be story of a heavy-weight pair, much on the likes of Badho bahu and film Dum Laga ke Haisha.
