Choreographer-Director Remo D'Souza's recent heart attack came as a huge shock to one and all as the Bollywood A-lister had no history of heart disease or blood pressure — a sentiment echoed by his wife, Lizelle D’Souza, while speaking to ETimes. “Remo's heart issue has come as a shock to not just everyone but himself too. He had no history of blood pressure or anything,” she had said, while in a another byte to Indian Express, she had added, “It was a blockage. Doctors have done angiography. He is in the ICU. Please pray. Next 24 hours are very important.”
Thankfully, Remo D'Souza has recovered well to medical treatment after being admitted in Kokilaben Hospital, Andheri, Mumbai, and his condition appears stable. Earlier, actor Aamir Ali, one of Remo's closest friends and among the first to rush to be by his side, had told ETimes, “Remo is much better now. He has always been a fit guy and I see him being as fit as before again very soon.”
Now, Remo D'Souza's Race 3 producer, Ramesh Taurani, has offered another update on his health, also while speaking to ETimes. “I spoke to Remo's wife. A stent (a metal mesh inserted in surgical procedures to make blood flow freely in blocked coronary arteries) has been put. He is stable now,” he said.
A coupe of days ago, Dharmesh Yelande, another of Remo D'Souza's close confidants, former student and currently a judge on Remo's famous reality show, Dance India Dance, had also opened up about his health in an interview to ETimes, where he had said, “Remo sir is fine now, he is doing well. We all are at Kokilaben Hospital with him. He had to go through a surgery and everything is fine. We are not allowed inside but we are constantly in touch with his wife, Lizelle D’Souza, over calls. Remo sir’s health is fine now.”
Well, thankfully the news is quite encouraging. BollywoodLife wishes a full and speedy recovery to Remo D'Souza.
