Remember Pankhuri of 'Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara '... yes Disha Parmar who essayed the role is back . She will now be seen playing a second wife in Zee TV's 'Woh Apna Sa'. Along with her, the show also has Ridhi Dogra and Ssudeeep Sahir in main roles. The show will air on Zee TV from January. The show is actually the story of a stepmom who while getting married has to encounter and deal with her fiancé's children and ex-wife. The show is based on the Bollywood film, We Are Family that starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol and Arjun Rampal. In fact, the film was an adaptation of the famous Hollywood film Stepmom. The show is produced by Siddharth Malhotra who directed the film We Are Family for Karan Johar. So, Siddharth is bringing his own film as TV serial now. The show is a kind of comeback for all three protagonists. Disha returns to TV after three years since Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara wrapped up on Star Plus. Delhi girl Disha was doing Life OK's Ghulaam and shot for the pilot but later Niti Taylor stepped in. With this show, Disha is back to playing the role of dutiful bahu like her last show. But here the twist is that she has to play the step-mom. In We Are Family, Kareena Kapoor Khan had played the role to perfection. Though the film tanked at the box office it did have some cute moments.

Ridhi Dogra also makes a comeback with Woh Apna Sa after two years. She was last seen on Life Ok's Savitri which was a big washout. Since then, Ridhi has been busy with her family and husband Raqesh. Ridhi has the tough job of matching Kajol's histrionics from We Are Family. While in the Hollywood film Stepmom legendary actress Susan Sarandon had done the brilliant job.

Woh Apna Sa is produced by Siddharth Malhotra under his banner, Alchemy films. Siddharth also launched his show Icchapyaari Naagin few months back . Siddharth is son of actor Prem Kishen and till now was associated with his family company Cinevista. He recently branched off as a producer with wife Sapna. Siddharth though has been creatively associated with shows like Dil Mill Gaye , Ek Haseena Thi , Sanjeevani and many others . Woh Apna Sa is written by Raghuveer Shekhawat who had written Diya Baati earlier.
