Tinsel town has been abuzz with the news of Jacqueline Fernandez paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput for a new project by Salman Khan Productions and Karan Johar’s Dharma. While all eyes were set on Katrina Kaif to play the lead, news of the actress not being part of the project certainly came as a shocker knowing the fact that she was among the frontrunners for the lead role. The actress however is no longer a part of the film to be helmed by Tarun Mansukhani.
Soon speculations on why Katrina Kaif was ousted from the film started pouring in and people started suspecting about Salman and Kat’s souring relationship. However, we can now CONFIRM that those rumours are baseless and that Katrina INDEED was approached for the film but she turned it down because of date issues. The actress has her hands full at this moment with interesting line of projects and she didn’t want to give that a miss by piling things on.
"Yes, Katrina was approached for the film since she was a perfect fit for the role and shares a great equation with Salman Khan Films and Dharma Productions. She had to turn it down as she has signed another movie, dates of which were clashing with this project. It was then that the makers approached Jacqueline Fernandez as Katrina has committed her timelines to another film," confirmed a source close to the actress.
Well, now you know that there’s no bad blood between Katrina and Salman and that the pairing of Jacqueline and Sushant will be interesting to see.
