A bash was planned to celebrate the completion of 25 years of MPK, but then it was called off
Salman Khan's Maine Pyaar Kiya recently completed 25 years and reportedly a big bash was planned to mark the occasion. However, the party was called off last minute. But why?
That's because Salman was not in the country as he left for Sri Lanka on December 29 itself along with his Kick co-star Jacqueline Fernandez, who originally hails from SL. The Jai Ho actor was roped in to promote a poll campaign in Sri Lanka.
As we all know, Salman became quite popular as Prem the lover boy with this Sooraj Barjatya directorial, which also had Bhagyashree playing the role of Suman. But then he chose to give the party a miss. Makers, who then were not left with any other option had to cancel the do.
"A small party was indeed supposed to be held to celebrate the silver jubilee of Maine Pyar Kiya but it was called off because Salman was not in the country. The film was one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Hindi cinema and even now people love to watch the chemistry between Prem and Suman," a source was quoted by a tabloid.
We recently saw Shah Rukh Khan along with Kajol celebrating the 1000 weeks completion of their cult romantic film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on a grand level. We were wishing Salman too would do something similar to celebrate the silver jubilee completion of MPK.
