Shah Rukh Khan's intolerance comment is apparently not forgotten yet.
Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale is going to face a HUGE problem in Indore, and it doesn't come from Sanjay Leela Bhansali!
A right-wing group called Hind Rashtra Sangathan has issued a threat to all theatre owners in Indore to not screen King Khan's upcoming movie in any of their theatres, and if they still do, then prepare to get their screens vandalised! They have started this 'Talkies Phodo Abhiyan' campaign in lieu of this threat and have even put up banners for the same. The campaign had been initiated to protest Shah Rukh Khan's comments on growing intolerance in the country. They have even labelled the actor as deshdrohi and have warned the movie-goers who will come to watch the shows that they will be solely responsible for any violence that may happen at the theatres if the film is screened. No reports have come if the police are taking any action against the protesters.
Dilwale will also star Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Varun Sharma, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi and Boman Irani. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and will release on December 18.
Shah Rukh Khan had spoken about intolerance on the occasion of his 50th birthday and had supported the award vapsi movements, as a form of protest. Though he didn't say anything as extreme as Aamir Khan, several BJP leaders took offence of his statement and one even called him terrorist!
Just asking guys, how can vandalising a property be any hint that we are a tolerant country? So aren't we agreeing to what the actors have been saying?
