Just don't watch that freaking video!
The original Ring scared the hell out of us when it was released in 2002. The Naomi Watts-starrer was a remake of a Japanese film, Ringu, and it brought a new wave to the genre of horror cinema.
Ring 2 was also terrifying, but it was not as scary as the original. However the upcoming Rings, a much awaited threequel of the film, promises not to be just more scary, it will also up the gore quotient, something which its predecessors lack. At least that's what the first trailer has promised us.
The original videotape is now a artefact for a secret cult who has been circulating the video though email attachment (times have changed, haven't it?). The film's female protagonist, played by Matilda Lutz, becomes the latest victim of the curse, as she now has seven days to make an escape before Samara gets out from the television screen to claim her life.
The trailer also shows us that Samara has become so strong that she can claim her victim even in a plane full of passengers in that terrifying scene. There is also Daredevil and Jurassic World's Vincent D'Onofrio who is playing a blind guide to the terrified leads.
Surprisingly, The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) is missing from the trailer, though it was assumed that he would be the lead in the film.
