The sad demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has left fans bereaved. It is also a tragedy as he had so much more to offer as an artiste. The actor is remembered as a fine actor, science buff, humanitarian by people. However, what has upset many is the conversation around his mental health. While Rhea Chakraborty has said that he was suffering from acute depression and taking medicines for almost eight months now, his former aides have dismissed prior history of mental health. In the middle of all this, channels have been leaking out his medical details. India Today claimed to have accessed the medical statements shared by Dr Kersi Chavda to the Mumbai cops. It has been reported that he had severe depression and suffered from existential crisis. Now, it is a known fact that mental health practitioners are not allowed to disclose diagnosis.
Singer Adnan Sami has slammed the doctors and therapists who have been talking to the media about his mental health. He has said that this has become an opportunity to seek free publicity as he is not alive to confront or negate whatever they have said.
Rhea Chakraborty said that he told her that he was claustrophobic when they were flying to Europe for the vacation. She said he took Modafinil tablets as prescribed by Dr Harish Shetty. She said he became unwell on the trip and told her that he was having a depressive episode. He apparently told her that something like this happened in 2013 and he took treatment from the doctor. However, Dr Harish Shetty has denied treating him for depression. Some days back, a therapist Susan Walker Moffat came forth and said that he was having bipolar disorder. She said the actor was paranoid about people finding out about his mental health. Sushant was found dead at his residence on June 14, 2020.
