Veteran actor Om Puri bid adieu to the world after a massive heart-attack early on Friday morning, 6th January 2017. The actor was 66. The entire nation is in a deep sense of shock as it was not long ago when we saw an agitated Om Puri talking about the ban on Pakistani artists. He showed no sign of illness. He was infact working on his film Viceroy's House, which is slated to release on 3rd March 2017. We know that he attracted a lot of hatred for his remarks, but we can't overlook the fact that he was one of the most treasured artists of the Film industry.
In this old interview, he has revealed how he almost gave up the idea of acting as he felt he didn't have the looks required to become a 'hero'. He shared with his fans that he used to wash utensils at a tea stall when he was six-years old. After being thrown out from there and his uncle's place, he went on to join the prestigious National School Of Drama in Delhi, where he met Naseeruddin Shah.
