Rishi Kapoor has been away from the big screen for the last eight months. The veteran actor left for the United States to undergo treatment for his undisclosed illness. Rumours spread like a wildfire that senior Kapoor was suffering from cancer although the actor and his family kept mum about it. It was only a few days back when the Mulk actor himself opened up about his battle with the deadly disease and revealed he is now cancer-free. "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free," Rishi informed Deccan Chronicle. And we can't wait for him to be back in the bay.
While there is time for that, recently Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita dropped by to meet Sr Kapoor in New York and the legendary actor couldn't stop thanking the duo for showering with so much love. Rishi and Neetu were all smiles as they posed for a selfie with the Ambani duo.
"Thank you for seeing us Mukesh and Neeta. We also love you," wrote Rishi Kapoor as he shared their lovely groupie on his Twitter handle. Tweeting yet another photo with Mukesh Ambani, he wrote, "Thank you for all the love you showered."
Take a look at Rishi Kapoor's pictures with Mukesh and Nita Ambani below:
Before the Ambanis, Shah Rukh Khan paid a visit to the senior actor and Neetu Kapoor shared a lovely picture of their rendezvous on Instagram with a caption that read, "To make people feel good about themselves is a rare quality!!! Shahrukh is all of that his love care is so so genuine !!! besides his amazing work I admire him as a very good and a real human being."
Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor has to undergo a bone-marrow transplant before he returns to Mumbai. "I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum. Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans' prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all. Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems," he had informed earlier.
We wish and pray that Sr Kapoor is back in action soon!
