It was quite a happening week in the world of TV. There were both happy and sad moments. Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla settled in marital bliss the previous week and hosted a reception party in Mumbai this week. On the other hand, it is a difficult time for Ankita Bhargawa and Karan Patel as the actress suffered a miscarriage. Ali Goni too is recuperating in the hospital. And so much more kept the internet buzzing. Here is a quick look…
Rubina Dilaik-Abhinav Shukla are painting the town red with their love
This couple exchanged wedding vows on June 21 at Shimla. Theirs was truly a fairy tale wedding followed by a reception in Abhinav’s hometown, Ludhiana. We were still gushing over their wedding and reception pictures, when the couple returned to Mumbai and hosted another grand reception bash for their industry friends on June 28. It was a night o remember with the who's who of the telly land marking their presence at the starry evening. Rubina looked sizzling hot in the beige shimmery gown. Her hair was braided and accessorised with a tiara, and she looked like a princess out of a fairy tale. Abhinav complemented her looking dapper in a white suit. Well, here's wishing a happily ever after for the newlyweds, once again!
Ankita Bhargawa suffers a miscarriage
While it's shiny and bright for Rubina-Abhinav on one side, it's gloomy for Ankita-Karan. The couple is going through a difficult phase as Ankita suffered a miscarriage just few days after she was seen attending the Gold Awards 2018 with hubby Karan Patel. They are trying their best to cope up with the situation and even requested for some privacy by issuing a statement. “Would urge all media personnel to please allow Karan and Ankita enough time to deal with the miscarriage. It is a difficult time for them individually and for the families involved. This sudden turn of events happened a few days ago and ever since we have tried to keep it low key only so that we allow them enough time to cope with it. However, given the nature of the lives they live, we do understand there will be speculation and concern from many. While we are ever thankful for the love and concern that is being expressed, I am sure we all agree that it is a tough time for them and coming to terms with it will take a few days,” read the statement by their spokesperson.
Aly Goni hospitalised
Yeh Hain Mohabbatein actor Ali Goni could not stay away from social media even in the hospital. The actor suffered from kidney stone and the pain was unbearable, that needed immediate hospitalisation. The actor made it a point to convey the same to his followers through a story on Instagram. We wish him a speedy recovery as Yeh Hai Mohabbatein won't be the same without him. Get well soon, Ali!
Neelam Panchal hurt in a mishap
Team Ishqbaaaz is working day in and day out. And their hard work is paying off as the show is receiving all the love from the audience. The sets of show recently has a mishap leading to the injury of Neelam Panchal. The crew was shooting outdoor and due to the winds and heavy rain, a cupboard fell right upon the actress who is playing Surbhi Chandna’s onscreen stepmother. The cupboard fell directly on her back and she was injured badly, though she managed to save the kid Aryan who was in her lap. Reportedly she suffered from intense pain after the accident. Surbhi and Shrenu Parekh instantly came to her rescue. We wish Neelam a speedy recovery too!
Poonam Dhillon quits Dil Hi To Hai
Dil Hi To Hai went through a couple of ups and downs even before the launch. And now, Poonam Dhillon decided to step down from her role at a very early stage as she was not happy with it. “I wasn’t happy with the way my track was shaping up. It was centred around the male lead’s love story and my character was just incidental, not meaty enough to excite me. After my last two TV experiences — ‘Ek Nayi Pehchaan’ and ‘Kittie Party’ — I was looking for central roles, which I thought this would be. I don’t mind putting in extra hours in a distant location, if the role is fulfilling. So, rather than wait for a few more weeks and create discomfort between the production house and me, I decided to quit immediately. The makers were considerate enough to accept my decision and we parted on an amicable note. I would like to work with them in the future with a strong character. I also have other commitments like my play, a film and some other responsibilities, which were suffering, too. I am looking forward to doing exciting work on TV, be it a soap or a talk show,” she said. Rajeshwari Sachdev was then roped in to play the role.
Jaswir Kaur welcomes a baby girl
June 26 was the date. Jaswir Kaur and hubby Vishal Madlani are celebrating in joy as they are now proud parents of a baby girl. The CID actress had all her priorities clear and is in no hurry to return to work. “After Waaris, I wanted to take a break. We belong to an industry where there is no dearth of opportunity for actors. I am still getting offers, but I want to balance my personal and professional life. The best part is that there is no age limit in a creative career; so, returning to acting will not be an issue. At this point in my life, I want to enjoy motherhood to the fullest,” she said.
Ridheema Tiwari-Jaskaran Singh tie the knot!
After dating each other for two years, adorable couple Ridheema Tiwari and Jaskaran Singh tied the knot in a traditional Hindu marriage at a suburban hotel in Mumbai. The two met on the sets of the TV show, Do Dil Ek Jaan in the year 2013. After becoming friends, they felt a strong connection between them and slowly love blossomed. It was Ridheema who popped the question last month to Jaskaran and an elated Jaskaran instantly said a ‘yes’! The couple is happy to have started a new chapter in their lives. Although Ridheema maintains that a honeymoon can wait!
