Will Varun play the intense character of an ace sharp shooter after Badlapur?
Varun Dhawan is an actor par excellence and he has proved his mettle by doing a variety of roles in films like Badlapur, Dilwale and ABCD 2 this year. He is as versatile as it gets and has been successfully leading the young guns race in Bollywood.
His role in Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale has been appreciated and he will currently begin shooting for his brother's directorial vehicle, Dishoom alongside John Abraham in Dubai. It is an out-an-out action film and it will be great to see Varun flooring us yet again with his awesome sauce stunts. Looks like offers can't stop pouring in for Varun as the latest rumour states that he is being considered for a role of ace sharp shooter Feroz Konkani who worked with Dawood Ibrahaim in the early 1990s and was responsible for many high profile murders including that of the music baron Gulshan Kumar.
Well, we can totally picture Varun in his intense, gansgsta role as he has already shown that side to us in his critically acclaimed Badlapur. A source close to the film told an entertainment site, "A trial chase sequence has been filmed in the exact location of Gulshanji's murder. The film is a re-enactment of real-life incidents and the location of the Jeeteshwar Mahadev Mandir in Andheri has been used for the scene." The film will be produced by Ashok Nanda and will be centered around the gang wars of 1990s.
The site further states that Irrfan Khan will play the renowned Commissioner of Police Rakesh Maria who arrests Konkani in the end.
It is not clear whether Varun has shown interest in the film, but it would be kickass to see Varun playing Konkani, don't you think so too?
