Once again Kashyap's ambitious project is in the news because of wrong reasons. Read on to know full scoop...
While the fist poster of Bombay Velvet is out, rumours about Anurag Kashyap's film are still floating in the media. The latest grapevine suggests that Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar and Ranveena Tandon is over four long hours.Because of this very reason Fox Star Studios, co-producers of the film, have apparently brought on board a new editing team which has now decided to cut three to four songs which feature Ms Sharma and Raveena Tandon. This is to ensure smooth flow of the film. Well, that's what the media reports claim.
While talking to a leading daily, a source said, "When the producers realised that the film's duration is over four hours even after editing was done, they decided to get the scenes chopped off further. As of now, it looks like the songs featuring Anushka and Raveena will not see the light of the day. They are also hiring various people to complete the editing work. A lot of money is at stake."
Interestingly, when the Gangs of Wasseypur director was contacted by the same tabloid through mail, he replied, "Do you even have a clue of the process of filmmaking.. Or generally the papers hire dumb people that can be easily manipulated..the film is locked and edited.. Vikas bahl shot a promotional song which is not in the film.. Production house is my production house, they don't take decisions independent of me. Don't become easy prey to rumour mongers... I am exhausted of you people.. Use your brains if there are any to question it yourself.. And read what you ask yourself.. Idiots [sic]."
A lot of speculations have been made regarding Bombay Velvet, however only time will tell if any of them are true or not! For now, we are just glad that the first poster has been released. It certainly makes on thing clear - BV won't get delayed any further!
