Saaho is up for release this Friday and we can't be more excited about it. Touted to be one of the biggest action entertainers this year, Saaho has the right mix of action, drama, romance, glamour and style. Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas have taken a LOT of efforts for the film, and it shows. Prabhas, who has given the biggest hits like Baahubali and Baahubali 2, weighed 99 kilos for his role. He completely owned his character in those films, and wanted to do the same for Saaho. But for the same, there was a lot of work to be done. Yes, he had to shed 10-15 kilos to look his part.
Prabhas' weight loss journey for Saaho is inspiring to say the least. When director Sujeeth put down the goal for Prabhas, he knew it will be a cakewalk for him as going to the gym and working out is like a stress buster for our Baahubali. Prabhas took part in various sessions of swimming, cycling, playing volleyball and even did long hours of cardio. During an interaction, Prabhas' personal trainer Laxman Reddy said, "Prabhas loves to play volleyball and all kinds of sports. Wherever we used to go, we would carry dumbbells, weights and resistance bands with us. If we didn't find a gym, we would train in the normal rooms only."
While promoting Saaho, Prabhas credited his team for helping him lose his weight and also for taking care of his health. He also spoke about his diet. He said, "I was eating a lot of veggies and fat food, along with some chicken and some portions of rice, bread and egg whites. Nuts are also a part of my diet." Surely, the actor had a strict discipline for his look in Saaho.
Talking about Saaho, the film is made on a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore. Apart from Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor the film also features Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Arun Vijay and Mahesh Manjrekar.
