Mahesh Bhatt is all set to return to direction with Sadak 2 and we're excited for more reasons than one! Now, while the sequel already has fans rooting for the comeback of the original jodi of Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt, the fact that Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur have hopped on-board is making us hoot louder. And the fact that Alia Bhatt shared it the way she did - on the day of her father Mahesh Bhatt's birthday earlier in an endearing post.
Earlier, it was reported that Alia Bhatt will play a character, who exposes a fake guru running an ashram. A source close to the development had told Mumbai Mirror, "Alia’s character is out to expose a fake guru who runs an ashram. She is accompanied by Sanjay’s (Dutt) character in this journey. Sanjay has already started prep with Bhatt saab. They start shooting in a fortnight."
In fact, the ball is all set to roll but not before a small break! Yes, that's right; Alia, who you still might catch in theatres playing Abhishek Varman's Kalank, has decided to drop the ball and take a small break before she embarks on the journey of Sadak 2. According to Mumbai Mirror, the actress has flown to London to be with sis Shaheen Bhatt and spend some quality sista-time together! Well, she has earned it. She was even snapped at the airport with friend and Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji. It is being reported that while Ayan, along with Pritam, will be working on the film's music in London, Alia Bhatt will be with Shaheen who is studying in London at the Interior Design School.

Even Ayan had taken to Insta to share a snap from their '#LondonDiaries' and wrote, "Adventure (of a Lifetime) ?" Check it out here.
Gotta say, we miss Ranbir Kapoor in the frame!
Alia, on the other hand, will head back to Mumbai in the second week of May as the shooting of Sadak 2 will kick-start in Mumbai. A source told the daily, "After a meeting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for her next, Inshallah, a contemporary love story with Salman Khan, Alia took off to London for a vacation. She was accompanied by her Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji. While Alia will be enjoying some we time with sister Shaheen Bhatt, who is studying at the Interior Design School, Ayan will be working with Pritam, who is also in London, on the film's music."
Earlier, on being asked about the speculations about Sadak 2, Mahesh Bhatt had said, "Sadak 2 is about love, loss and redemption. To simplify a heartfelt narrative like this is to falsify it. You would be trivialising the essence of the film by suggesting that Sadak 2 is just this."

It's already known that Gulshan Grover is playing a key role in Sadak 2, so when asked whether is he the fake Godman in the film, Mahesh Bhatt had replied, "He is not. We have a ‘great’ actor playing that part. But Gulshan plays a very important part as well." The film will be produced under the banners of Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios and will hit the screens on November 15.
