Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, who have worked together in films like Biwi No 1, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Tu Chop Main Sipahi (not as a romantic couple) are reuniting after 20 long years for Nitin Kakkar's Jawaani Jaaneman. The light-hearted romantic venture will also mark the acting debut of Pooja Bedi's daughter Alaia Furniturewalla. Saif Ali Khan expressed his excitement of collaborating again with Tabu and called her a brilliant actor. In an interview with Mid-day, the Baazaar actor said, "This part is funny on paper, and I'm pleased that she has agreed to play it as now it will be hysterical."
Jackky Bhagnani, who is co-producing the film said in a statement, "Pooja Entertainment is proud to associate with Black Knight Films and Northern Lights Films for Jawaani Jaaneman as co-producers of the family comedy. With the movie going on floors in June, it's going to be an interesting journey." The first schedule of 45 days will be shot in London.
Meanwhile, Saif is currently shooting for Ajay Devgn and Kajol starrer Taanaji: The Unsung Hero. He plays the lead antagonist, named Udaibhan Singh Rathod. Directed by Om Raut, the period drama is mounted on a lavish budget of Rs 150 crore and will hit the screens on January 10, 2020. It will clash with Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak at the box office.
On the other hand, Tabu will be next seen in Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De. The film is directed by known editor Akiv Ali and also stars Rakul Preet and Jimmy Sheirgill in key roles.
