While Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for the final schedule of Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, we earlier heard that filmmaker Karan Johar has put his ambitious project Takht on hold and will kickstart his next next project, which will be a rom-com featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The duo had earlier garnered praises for their chemistry in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy and while we are waiting for this pair to recreate the magic again on the silver screen, there is an addition to the film in the form of Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan.

But hey! There's a catch in the development as he has come on board as the assistant director for this venture. As per the latest reports, the young lad wants to know the process of filmmaking before deciding whether to pursue his career as an actor or a filmmaker. Well, before Ibrahim, we have seen stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra kickstarting their career as assistant directors. Speaking Karan Johar's untitled rom-com, we will see a typical Dharma film, which will be shot across the country and the leading duo will have some workshops before the film goes on floors.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is completing the final days of shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitiour project Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film also features Ajay Devgn in a pivotal role. It will hit the screens on July 30 and will lock horns with Prabhas-Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam at the ticket windows. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83, which narrates the journey of Indian cricket team's heroic win in the 1983 World Cup. The film also features Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin and others in pivotal roles.
