Dilip Kumar's younger brother, Aslam Khan, passed away on August 21 after being detected positive for COVID-19 a few days ago. However, in his case, the doctors have stated that contracting the disease only deteriorated his condition as he was already suffering from ailments like diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart. Both of Dilip's brothers, Aslam and Ehsaan Khan, were admitted to a hospital on 16th August after testing positive for COVID-19. Ehsaan Khan is critical currently. Saira Banu has been taking care of Dilip Kumar and is also worried about her brothers-in-law. After Aslam Khan's passing away, she has now requested fans to pray for Dilip Kumar's brother Ehsaan Khan. In an interview with the Times Of India, Saira Banu spoke about Ehsaan Khan.
She said, "It is so unfortunate that Aslam bhai succumbed to the Coronavirus; we really don't know how to cope with this loss. May Allah rest him in peace. Pray for Ehsaan bhai, who's struggling in the ICU. He's breathless. I hope he goes back home fine." Aslam Khan's last rites were performed and it was a difficult task due to coronavirus. Saira Banu shared, "Dilip Lumar's nephew Imran and Ayub Khan (Nasir Khan's son) along with Saqib Khan (of Mehboob Studios) and Murshid (who worked for Dilip Kumar at his office and has become an integral part of our family) managed everything." Saira Banu has also been in touch with Dr. Jalil Parkar and Dr. Nitin Ghokhale at Lilavati who have been treating Dilip Kumar's brothers. She clarified that Aslam Khan and Ehsaan Khan stayed separately with their sister Farida.
Saira Banu also cleared that Aslam Khan and Ehsaan Khan did not stay with them and that she hasn't stepped out of the house for five months. She said, "I am saying this because after hearing that Ehsaan bhai and Aslam bhai had been infected with Coronavirus, several people started calling me to ask about Dilip saab's health; they thought Ehsaan bhai and Aslam bhai stay with us. Let me tell you I haven't moved out of home for the past 5 months ever since the (still on-going) pandemic engulfed us."
