The actor's woes is far from over here...
Amidst a lot of hue and cry, Salman Khan was acquitted of all charges last December in the 2002 hit and run case. Many weren't too content with the verdict. In fact, Mumbai Police admitted there were discrepancies in the way the case was handled. Maharashtra Government even challenged his acquittal in Supreme Court. Well, it was great as long as it lasted for the actor because Supreme Court has served him a notice challenging his acquittal today.
Salman may have been set free by the High Court, not everybody liked the verdict. Recently, many facets of the case came to light. First 16 discrepencies were found in the way the case was conducted putting Mumbai Police to shame. Later, widow and son of the deceased challenged his acquittal after Maharashtra Government did the same. They even demanded compensation on the fact that the sole bread winner of the family was lost in the mishap. While this was mounting against him, SC squashed a plea against him about allegedly spending 25 lakh to obtain a favourable order. But the respite was shortlived as the apex court has sent him a notice challenging his acquittal.
Well, it seems this case will be prolonged more.
