After the Jodhpur trial court sentenced Salman Khan to a jail term of 5 years in connection with the blackbuck poaching case, the actor's team appealed in the Sessions Court for a bail today (April 06). The superstar's lawyers prepared a 51 page argument, but even before he could reach the court, the lawyer got several death threats. As the lawyer revealed to News18, "I am getting death threats. The message said 'Salman Khan ka case ko chodh dijiye, warna goli maarenge." However, looks like the lawyer is unperturbed as he maintained he will continue with the case and he has been provided security by the Commissioner of Police.
In the meantime, we can confirm that the lawyer has presented his argument in the Sessions court. The prosecution have also stated their case and with the defence asking for suspension of sentence along with a bail for Salman Khan, the Sessions court has deferred the verdict till tomorrow morning (April 7). The judge will read all the documents from the earlier case, hear the arguments again and then pronounce his 10.30 tomorrow and hence, Salman will have to stay at the Jodhpur jail for another night. For those of you who don't know, reports suggest that the actor spent a restless night in the jail and according to the jailer, he was not given any kind of special treatment.
