One of the biggest clashes of 2019 has been averted! We are talking about the box office battle between Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra and Salman Khan's Dabangg 3. These big budget movies were to lock horns during Christmas this year but the makers of Brahmastra had a change of mind recently. According to a DNA report, Brahmastra is likely to release next year. The superhero fantasy film is apparently being pushed to 2020 due to logistical reason and not to avoid a clash with Salman Khan's cop drama.
A source informed the leading daily, "There is a more practical reason. If Brahmastra doesn't release in December 2019, it will be mainly because its shooting is likely to go on till October. After this, the sci-fi thriller will get into post-production, which may take longer because the film is heavily dependent on VFX. In the past, every movie with heavy-duty visual effects has had to keep a buffer period due to the nature of the work involved."
Meanwhile, we have already seen the logo of Brahmastra which stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles. The teaser of Ayan Mukerji's directorial is awaited and so are the character posters. Brahmastra is supposed to be a trilogy and the first part, as mentioned above, will now release in 2020.
As for Dabangg 3, it marks the reunion Salman aka Chulbul Pandey and Sonakshi Sinha aka Rajjo on the silver screen. The shoot of Dabangg 3 began on April 1 in Madhya Pradesh. To keep his fans updated, Salman shared multiple pictures from the sets of the third installment of Dabangg series. While Khan kickstarted the shoot on the first day of April, Sonakshi Sinha joined him a few days later. Reason being the actress was promoting her last release, Kalank.
While the big clash between Brahmastra and Dabangg 3 has been averted, we will still witness Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut starrer Mental Hai Kya lock horns with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh on June 21. Also, Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal, John Abraham's Batla House and Prabhas' Saaho will battle it out at the box office on August 15.
That's not all. Sushant Singh Rajput- Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore and Rajkummar Rao- Mouni Roy's Made In China will arrive together on August 30. Not to forget, the clash between Pati Patni Aur Woh remake and Panipat that will take place on December 6.
All we can say is, 2019 is going to be a year of clashes!
