God's own country, Kerala, is facing the wrath of nature as heavy rains caused floods in the state. Several in the state were affected by the flood and there were enough casualties reported. The Indian Navy and the State Government re relentlessly trying to restore life in the state. And to help resurrect the state, many actors, including Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kangana Ranaut, and may more have donated generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. South actors like Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, Ram Charan and many more extended their help and donated to the cause. The latest we hear is that Salman Khan has donated Rs 12 crore to the relief fund. That indeed is great on part of the actor, and acknowledging the same, Jaaved Jaaferi took to Twitter to share his sentiments. "Heard @BeingSalmanKhan donated ₹12cr for Kerala.. this man is something else. Kitnon ki duaein leke chal rahi hain isey. God Bless you bro. Love and #Respect" [sic] he wrote.
Earlier, actor Kunal Kapoor donated Rs 1.2 crore to the cause and issued a statement, "Besides the incredible work being done by the army, there are a number of organisations and NGOs that are working tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate people. We want to provide as much support as we can for these organisations so that they can effectively carry out their work." Apart from donating, celebrities, being public figures, are also appealing to the masses to help even in the smallest capacity they can. At a critical time like this, even little help can go a long way in restoring the lives of those affected by floods.
