Prabhas starrer Saaho hit headlines yesterday with the actor’s endearing poster being launched on social media. Prabhas dons an intense look in the poster, with spectacles, which add to the drama. Sharing the first look with his followers on Instagram, the actor wrote, "Here it is darlings, for all of you... The new official poster of my next film Saaho. See you in theatres on August 15!"
While the buzz is already high for the film, the addition of a Bollywood superstar will definitely catapult its excitement amongst fans. According to a report in The Asian Age, Bollywood heavyweight Salman Khan has been approached to play a cameo in the film. Apparently, Neil Nitin Mukesh, who plays the antagonist in Saaho, suggested that Salman be roped in for the role. A source quoted in the report stated, “Neil, who is pretty close to Salman, also having worked with him as a villain in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, is playing the villain in Saaho. He suggested them to approach Salman for a cameo in the film and the makers have asked Salman. He is still to respond whether he will be able to do the film.” Salman will soon be seen in Bharat, he romances Katrina Kaif in the film.
Saaho, which features Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady, is mounted on a big budget. The film will be Prabhas’ debut in Bollywood and will also mark Shraddha’s entry into Telugu films. Speaking about her experience of shooting with Prabhas, Shraddha had told IANS: "He is such a gentleman and an amazing human being. I think it translates in his energy on set and is so inspiring for everybody."
Saaho is directed by Sujeeth and also stars Mandira Bedi, Arun Vijay and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on August 15, Independence Day, clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and John Abraham’s Batla House.
