A few days ago, Salman Khan had expressed his desire to get tax exemption for Bajrangi Bhaijaan since he feels that the film holds a very important message for the human race... that of humanity which according to the actor is above all religions and geographical boundaries. Well, his wish was granted in part as the UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, latter announced that the film will be made tax free in the state. This came after the CM met director Kabir Khan. So when Kabir met the Eknath Khadse, Revenue Minister of Maharashtra, rumours started doing rounds that this meeting entailed talks of making Bajrangi Bhaijaan tax-free in Maharashtra as well. But BJP member, Shaina NC, who was also present at the meeting, has rubbished these rumours.
In an official statement released by her, Shaina has said that Kabir and Salman's sister, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, had met her and the CM to invite the political class to watch Bajrangi Bhaijaan, as the film propagates that communal violence can be resolved. She further said that there was no question of tax exemption. The filmmaker, in fact, offered to donate part of the profits to farmers.
Produced by Salman Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Harshaali Malhotra, has been breaking all box office records setting cash registers jingling from day 1. But looks like it's not just trade records the makers want to break, they are all for setting new records by becoming the first film ever to have donated a share from its profits. Well, that's just Salman Khan being human! What say?
