Salman Khan's Dabangg 3 is one of the highly-anticipated releases of the year. While the film is just 20 days away from its release it has landed into a new controversy as a Hindu outfit named Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded CBFC to halt the certification of the film. As per the Samiti, the title track of the film, Hud Hud Dabangg, which is ruling the charts has hurt the sentiments of Hindus as the makers have degraded the image of Sadhus by showing them dancing with Salman Khan on the river banks. They also had the objection where Salman Khan is seeking blessings from the three characters dressed as the holy trinity - Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma in the scenes.
Well, this is not the first time, when Dabangg 3 has mired in a controversy. In the trailer of the film, a shot where few Shivlings covered with wooden planks had grabbed headlines on social media and among the masses. Dabangg 3, which is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada is expected to have the widest release for a Bollywood film. The latest reports suggest that the makers are also cashing on the stardom of lead antagonist Kichcha Sudeepa, who enjoys a huge fan-base down South, especially in the Kannada speaking areas. The producers of Dabangg 3 are planning to release the film in around 5400 screens across the country, thus beating Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's Thugs Of Hindostan, which was released just over 5000 screens.
Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter Saiee is also making her Bollywood debut with Dabangg 3 and will be paired opposite Salman Khan in the prequel portions. Talking about it, Arbaaz said, “Saiee’s scenes are in the prequel and we had gone through the entire process of trying to see who could fit the bill. She has the look that we required for Dabangg 3.” Also starring Sonakshi Sinha in a key role, Dabangg 3 is set to hit the screens on December 20. So, are you excited for the film?
