Yesterday, Salman Khan shared that Inshallah has been postponed and he will come back with another flick in Eid 2020 and the megastar has now revealed that flick is none other Kick 2. The 53-year-old star announced Kick 2 in his signature style by tweeting, "Itna mat sochna mere baare mein, Dil mein aata hoon.. aur Eid pe bhi". Well, that is definitely a great news for all Bhaijaan fans.
But Akshay Kumar's Laxmmi Bomb, which was earlier scheduled to release on June 5 has been preponed and will now release on May 22, 2020 (Eid). Which means, it's Salman Khan's Kick 2 versus Akshay Kumar's Laxmmi Bomb at the ticket windows. Earlier, there were rumours that Rohit Shetty will step in as the director for Kick 2. But the makes have cleared the air and confirmed that Sajid Nadiadwala, who helmed the first part will be directing the second installment as well.
Nadiadwala Grandson shared the news on their Twitter account and wrote, "Clearing the air, we strongly deny any reports of association of any other name as the director of Kick 2. The next of the franchise, Kick 2 is with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment & will be directed by Sajid Nadiadwala." Talking about the first part, the film was a blockbuster and had earned Rs 233 crore at the box office. It also featured Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Randeep Hooda and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. The film was shot in Poland and India.
On the other hand, Laxmmi Bomb is the remake of Tamil horror comedy Kanchana and is directed Raghava Lawrence. The film also stars Kiara Advani in a key role. In "Laxmmi Bomb", Akshay plays a character that will be possessed by a ghost of a transgender. So, who do you think will win the box office battle this time? Tweet to us @bollywood_lifr
