Sanam Re surprised everyone when it overtook Fitoor when it came to the opening day figures. Both films released this Friday, however Fitoor was perceived to have more pull thanks to its star power (Katrina Kaif - Aditya Roy Kapur - Tabu), a critically acclaimed director (Abhishek Kapoor), and an impressive trailer.
Yet, Fitoor didn't manage to bring much crowds to the theatres, and the average reviews only added salt to the injury. Sanam Re also got worse reviews, however, the presence of a younger cast, more popular music, and more opportunity for skin show (Urvashi, you rocked!), drew a slightly larger crowd for the film.
Renowned trade analyst, Taran Adarsh has updated the box office figures of the film on Saturday, which is slightly better than what it collected on Friday. It managed to collected Rs 5.60 crores on Saturday, which, if you look at a borader horizon, is still less considering it's a weekend figure. The total business done by the film in two days is Rs 10.60 crores.

Sanam Re stars rumoured couple Pulkit Samrat and Yami gautam, along with Rishi Kapoor and Urvashi Rautela. The film is directed Divya Khosla Kumar.
