However, the actor says the old time bonding in the industry is missing
Stories of a fight between Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt did the rounds a few months ago. It was revealed that Sanjay who hired Salman's manager based on his recommendation was upset that she was quoting exorbitant fees for the actor that led to him losing out on projects. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, the actor said, "What jhagda! I went to his Ganpati celebrations when I was on furlough and no one wrote about it. But he didn't visit me after I returned, and that was news. He is a busy actor, he was shooting far away, he can't be sitting at my house 24x7 but he is still my younger brother."
The actor also said that brotherly bonding used to be much higher in the industry earlier but now the set up is lot more professional. The Khal Nayak actor is said to be close to Sajid Nadiadwala. Sanjay has also mended his relationship with Sanjay Gupta. We know the actor and filmmaker used to be great pals before they had a huge fight. Sanjay stated, "Bhaiyon mein jhagda hota hai and the world takes advantage of that. But jab bhai mil jaate hain, no one talks about it."
Sanjay also says the biopic on his life starring Ranbir Kapoor is also very much on track. He refutes rumours of tweaking the script. "I'm told they'll start in December. The dates are sorted but Raju is still writing. He has 900 hours of recorded conversations with me that he has to cull out a two and a half hour film. He doesn't want me to hear it till the first draft is ready. He should give me a narration in 15-20 days," said the actor.
It seems the actor’s project Marco Bhau will also roll out soon. However, it seems that producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra wants the music of the film to be ready before the film gets on the floors. “It will be the first film I shoot for, a decision taken by Vinodji and me when I was out on furlough. It’s a feel-good film about a father-daughter relationship, the right one to start this innings with,” he asserts. He will also start shoot for the Hindi remake of Mahesh Manjrekar’s De Dhakka at the same time.
The film De Dhakka was a Marathi blockbuster inspired by Little Miss Sunshine. It was a critical and commercial success.
