After deciding that he will not appeal for pardon, Sanjay Dutt resumed shooting today. The entire team of his forthcoming movie, Policegiri stood in support of the actor
After being convicted for his involvement in the notorious 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, Sanjay Dutt has been asked to serve five years imprisonment. Contrary to the nationwide prediction, Dutt has refused to file an appeal for pardon. The apex court has given the 53-year-old star four weeks to surrender and Sanju wants to complete all his pending projects without wasting much time. The Munnabhai star resumed shooting for his film, Policegiri. He also plans to complete dubbing for Zanjeer by next week.
While he is counting each day before he will have to surrender and serve the remaining three and half years in prison, the industry stands in solid support of Baba. The entire B-town and the unit of Policegiri have shown unflinching support towards Dutt. In fact, the cast and the crew of Policegiri wore a white ribbon around their arms to show their solidarity.
Many in the industry are of the unanimous opinion that Sanjay Dutt is one of the best human beings they have met and he has suffered a lot in the last 20 years. Although Sanjay may not be appealing for pardon, Justice Markandey Katju, who had written to the governor of Maharashtra, maintains that he will continue with the request for mercy for Dutt.
