Yes, the Munna Bhai hero finally stepped out of the prison a free man yesterday. And guess what we spotted...
Sanjay Dutt's exit from Yerwada Jail in Mumbai yesterday was one of the top news stories and this despite the fact that Railway Budget was being discussed. Anyhow we're sure that after reading this piece everybody will get talking about Sanjay's lucky chunari. Yes, Dutt walked out a freeman from jail after serving his pending three and half years term and even ahead of meeting his family that actor had his left pocket stuffed with what looked like a red chunari that is generally used while performing rituals. The actor carried a green folder, which looked like his release papers and exit formalities from the prison and the red and gold piece of cloth was stuffed inside his jeans pant. In fact the actor had it with him throughout the day.
Sanjay was received by wife Manyata Dutt, friends Bunty Walia and director Rajkumar Hirani outside the Yerwada jail. The actor soon after stepping out touched the ground outside the prison and then gave a grand salute to the hoisted tri colour flag. We're sure Hirani, who admitted to filming for his biopic on the actor will use this footage in his film. Coming back to the red and golden piece of cloth it left us intrigued. Was this a well wisher's gift for Dutt? Did Sanjay perform some pooja inside the jail before leaving? Or was he presented with this auspicious cloth by one of the jail authorities as a gesture of good luck for future? Well, we cannot wait to ask Sanju all about it (lucky charm), right guys?
